Český rozhlas (ČRo) is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic. We have been operating since 1923 and broadcast four national services and 13 regional stations.
We have 10 large studios for drama, some of them equipped with 5.1 surround systems, and more then 10 broadcast studios. Together there are over 25 installations in Prague and in other locations.
Choosing a new monitor for our company was important. We performed blind test of speakers (listening through opaque curtains). We selected 8 famous brands and our six sound engineers listened to several records (music, spoken word, drama, etc.). The preference clearly went to PSI Audio and we purchased units to equip all of our studios as a standard.
Personally, I appreciate the amount of detail that makes the A25-M comfortable for longer sessions without listening fatigue (concentration doesn’t take too much effort). I enjoy their precise localization as well – the stereo imaging has a feeling very close to coaxial drivers to me. Together with their accurate performance the speakers provide a genuine musical character. This makes me enjoy listening to them without losing the focus while mixing.
